Kit Novotny

KIT NOVOTNY joined the Slant of Light team in 2009 with the original educational tour of M&M’s in Heaven and has been closely involved (as an actor, writer, and assistant director) with its most recent transformation. She received a BA in theater and anthropology from the University of Chicago, where she created an award-winning one woman show, “re/collect,” and has workedextensively with you for the past 8 years teaching drama, improv, yoga, and dance. In Chicago she worked both on and behind stages with Off-Off Campus, About Face Theatre, Court Theatre, The Second City, Museum of Contemporary Art, etc. CT credits include Playhouse on Park, Elm City Dance Collective, and the Planning Stage and later this month she appears in The Winter’s Tale with New Haven’s Elm Shakespeare Company. Kit has trained with the British American Drama Academy and Shakespeare & Co., and this Fall she will begin studies in religion and the arts at Yale Divinity School.
