Carissa Dagenais

CARISSA DAGENAIS is a current undergard at Smith College. She has previously attended Simons Rock College at Bard and The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC. She has most recently performed with Paintbox Children’s Theater and NewGeneration Theater Ensemble. She works as a teacher and drama coach for both children and adults and was nominated for the Irene Ryan Acting Scholarship by the Kennedy Center for her performance as Jean in Sara Ruhl’s, Dead Mans Cell Phone. Carissa has appeared twice Off-Broadway in NYC, most recently in The Importance of Doing Art at the Poets’ Den Theater with PinPuppets Productions. Carissa is at SMith College to pursue her passion of theater as an intelligent endeavor-and the idea that we can use theater to teach even if everyone doesn’t want to be an actor.
